A Violence Free Tomorrow Is Our Vision Today

Adopt a Room

With themes like Wisdom, Serenity, Resiliency, and Perseverance, the Adopt A Room program invites support to help Clarina maintain shelter spaces that are comfortable, relaxing and functional. Donations are directed to specific guest or common rooms, providing a year of support to rejuvenate the selected space. Each gift to Adopt a Room transforms Clarina's guest areas into a useful and welcoming space.

Your support of the Adopt a Room program transforms guests’ experience while in shelter.

Some of the Available Rooms:

  • Resiliency: the largest pet friendly room in shelter! This room needs a new bunkbed and floor replacement.
  • Serenity: renovated in 2014 from a one person bedroom into a spacious handicap accessible room for up to a family of three.
  • Vitality: houses up to a family of three.
  • Imagi-NATION: a newly adapted shelter space providing a children's safe-haven for creative play and trauma-informed support
  • Play Room: this common play area provides plenty of space for children at shelter, but needs new toys and games.
  • Kitchen: Housing more than 85 people last year, imagine the impact on kitchen supplies and equipment.  Help Clarina replace outdated appliances in this shared guest space!
  • Paws for the Cause: Indoor and outdoor support for SAF-T needs are ongoing!  Indoor support will help us replace pet bedding, provide feliway for cat spaces, obtain appropriate air purifiers to help control allergens, and purchase folding dog kennels.  Outdoor support will help us purchase fencing material and outdoor dog kennels to create more animal-friendly backyard space.
  • Yard: Has been adopted! A new swing set is already installed, and other items will be arriving soon.
