Here are some of the ways in which you can get involved. However, this list is not complete. Please contact our Community Coordinator with any ideas you may have on how you would like to get involved and we will work with you to make it possible.
- Help Poster Lamoille County for CHNC events and services
- Answer the hotline for individuals in crisis [training required]
- Cook a weekly meal for residents in our shelter
- Offer childcare to residents (background check required & stipend available)
- Co-faciliate Child Support Groups and summer Kids Camp- fun opportunity!
- General cleaning of the shelter
- Yardwork such as lawn-mowing, raking, etc.
- many other opportunities

- An activity you feel passionate about!

Training
We offer a comprehensive 18 hour crisis worker training for all of our new volunteers 3-4 times a year. Our trainings cover a variety of issues related to domestic and sexual violence including:
Domestic Violence 101
Confidentiality Issues
Sexual Violence 101
Hotline & Court Advocacy
Children & Domestic Violence
