Clarina is dedicated to ending domestic and sexual violence through prevention education and outreach to the community. We offer educational workshops, presentations and trainings to any organization or school in Lamoille County. All of our workshop and trainings can be tailored to meet the needs and interests of the audience.
The educational services we provide to schools are based on the Act 1 Bill 16 VSA. It mandates that sexual violence prevention education be implemented into the health education curriculum of all K-12 schools. This includes topics such as consent, building healthy relationships and related issues.
Twice a year during Sexual and Domestic Violence Awareness Months (April and October) Clarina also holds an intensive Community Advocacy Training. Community Advocacy Training prepares volunteers for Direct Service opportunities at Clarina ( hotline, crisis advocacy, shelter advocacy) and is open to students and others interested in human services.
